Here are the winners of the Awards 15 competition which had a final deadline of January 31.
Winning entries appear along with winners of our NMW Awards XIV
in the next issue, to be published in June or July. This will be our largest issue yet, with fiction, poetry, writing
advice and humor from many voices. It also will contain Brian Griffin's profile of George Garrett,
author of Death of the Fox and many other books.
R. A. Lopata won the $1,000 Fiction Award for Feeding the Reindeer.
Carolyn Moore won the $1,000 Poetry Award for Mrs. Wold Writes a Friend in North Dakota
Maria Caruso and Ann Pancake tied to win the $1,000 Nonfiction Award for The Vacationers and Tough, respectively (Tough will appear in our 2004 issue).
