Robert S. Carr, of Orlando, FL, won the $1,000 Poetry Award for his haunting poem, "Rough Beast."
Jessie Keyt of New York won the $1,000 Nonfiction Award for "A Matter of Conversion."
Robert B. Anderson, of Corrales, NM, won for his excellent story, "Compton's Run."
More than 1,000 entries were sent. Winners and honorable mentions will receive letters and certificates in coming weeks. Semifinalists also will be contacted soon. NMW Awards are presented twice annually for works of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Judges are David Hunter, Marilyn Kallet, Jon Manchip White, Allen Wier and Don Williams, Editor.
